Homemade Gruyere Cheese Crackers

Having folks over for a party or invited to a friends to watch the big game? Looking for a good cracker to go with your cheese and meat board can be difficult. I’ll tell you now, skip the grocery store and make this recipe! This is the tastiest and easiest cracker you can make in no time flat. Add a fig spread on the side and you’re set!

• 8 oz. Gruyere, grated.
• 1 cup all-purpose flour.
• 4 Tbsp. (1/2 stick) cold butter, cut into pieces.
• 1/2 tsp. kosher salt.
• 1/2 tsp. pepper.
• 3 Tbsp. ice water.

1. Put the Gruyere, flour, butter, salt and pepper in a food processor and pulse until the mixture resembles sand. Add the ice water and pulse until the dough comes together. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 min.
2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. Roll out the dough to 1/8-inch thickness and cut into squares with a pizza cutter. Use a wooden skewer to poke a small hole in the center of each square. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and bake until golden brown, 15 to 17 minutes (rotate halve way through). Allow to cool before packing up.
